Our board of directors is made up of young people who have demonstrated strong ethical reasoning skills, maturity, responsibility, open-mindedness, empathy, and a passion for improving the lives of others. In addition to the regular duties and responsibilities of any board of directors for a non-profit organization, our board meets monthly to review the applications we receive and make the difficult decision of which requests to fund based on our limited budget.

During her experience with La Mano Amiga, Jaina has learned a lot about the struggles that many Hondurans go through on a daily basis and hopes to continue, in the future, to serve those in need whether in Honduras or elsewhere. She has recognized during her time on the board that a little can go a long way in changing lives for the better.
